Research Paper Outline

At the beginning of your outline, include an edited version of your biographical introduction that incorporates any notes I may have given you when I handed back your first version. (double spaced, 12 pt font)

Including your introduction, your outline must be at least 4 pages long, no more than 8 pages (double spaced, 12 pt font). Do not worry about your conclusion at this point. Just be sure to outline (in bullet-point form) the body of your paper, which should include analysis of 3-4 works by your artist.

I have attached a link to a rough sample outline below. Your outline does not need to follow this format - feel free to get creative!

I've been called in to jury duty and it looks like I won't make it out in time to get to class. Apologies and I'll see you all on Thursday!

Biographical Introduction

Write a brief biography on your chosen artist. This will obviously vary greatly from artist to artist, but you will want to include when and where she was born, who her parents were and if you think they had any influence on her decision to become an artist, how and where she received her artistic training, and any other life events you think may be relevant to her development as an artist.

This biography will serve as the introduction to your research paper. It must be at least a paragraph (5 sentences minimum), but no longer than a page.

See syllabus for formatting.

Must be printed and handed in during class on or before Thursday 5 March.
